Course Description
Virtual Backgrounds presents its highly successful workshops devoted entirely to the use of Virtual Backgrounds projection systems. The workshops have drawn photographers from across North America and many countries abroad. The workshop enables participants to begin to see the magnitude and depth of implementing background projection into the studio. Composed of lectures, demonstrations and lots of hands-on time, the three day program is combined with helpful information on creating your own backgrounds as well as developing the use of Virtual Backgrounds as a strong marketing and sales tool for your studio. On the third day of the workshop, a guest speaker is brought in to present their own personal experience with using Virtual Backgrounds.

When And Where
In this workshop, you will receive intensive hands-on training devoted entirely to the use and marketing of Virtual Backgrounds. Workshops are regularly scheduled throughout the year and are held at the Virtual Backgrounds teaching facility in San Marcos, Texas (30 miles south of Austin and 50 miles north of San Antonio). About the Instructors



Jim Wilson, PPA Certified, Cr. Photog.



Trevon Baker, PPA Certified, Cr. Photog.
Jim is a graduate of the Brooks Institute of Photography. Before joining Virtual Backgrounds, Jim was employed for 19 years with Abey Studios (located in Youngstown, Ohio), one of the most innovative studios in America. While at Abey, Jim developed special effects techniques earning him wide-ranging recognition and awards for exhibitions at local, state and national levels.

Jim has presented seminars on Virtual Backgrounds across the USA, Canada, Mexico, Korea and the Carribbean. He has also instructed at the Golden Gate School of Professional Photography, the Triangle Institute, and the Winona International School of Professional Photography. Currently, Jim is the Vice President of Education and Customer Service at Virtual Backgrounds. He has served as the primary instructor of the workshop series since its inception.
Trevon, PPA Certified, Cr. Photog., has a distinguished career both as the owner of Trevon Baker Photography in Kalispell, Montana (www.trevonbaker.com) and as a member of the Virtual Backgrounds team.

Trevon’s specialties are both commercial and portrait photography as well as scenic stock photography (www.todayinmontana.com).Trevon is a long time user of the Scene Machine Virtual Backgrounds System which is a fundamental tool in his studio.

He has lectured throughout North America and in numerous other countries including Korea, Australia, New Zealand and in Europe..

He prepared both the Imagine the Possibilities DVD and the instruction DVD for Virtual Backgrounds as well as the YouTube videos about Virtual Backgronds.

Virtual Backgrounds also sponsors a number of speakers who regularly give presentations that involve Virtual Backgrounds.  These speakers include Joseph and Louise Simone, Rick Avalos, Trevon Baker, Terry Deglau, Rick Harding, Shirley Robinson and others.
