Larry Peters

Larry Peters of London, Ohio has taken Virtual Backgrounds to a new level with his creative use of adding reflective material to a wide variety of props. Not only does the background screen reflect, but the props reflect as well. Each prop is fitted with the same reflective material used to project the background in the portrait. The result is a complimentary blend of props, background and subject.

This is a unique style which is not only exciting to today's younger clients, but also cannot be duplicated by aggressive amateurs. This new technique helps to keep senior sessions booked up all season! More of Larry's work can be seen at www.petersphotography.com.

Dave Filler

Dave Filler operates a small studio in Northwest Montana. He first learned of the Virtual Backgrounds system in 2004 at the Montana PPA convention, with the Simones as featured speakers.

Having changed careers to photography in 1999, David quickly learned that “collecting” painted backgrounds to achieve variety was an expensive hobby. The Virtual Backgrounds system now allows him to create everything from classic elegance to contemporary environmental portraits. It also allows him to make his own background slides that nobody else has!

Dave uses his Virtual Background System for seniors, Maternity, Bridal, Theater / Dance and a whole lot more. Visit his website at www.stillwaterphotography.com.

Trevon Baker

When Trevon Baker first heard of the concept of Virtual Backgrounds nearly 20 years ago, he was compelled to learn as much as he could about it. He persuaded the owners of the one hour lab he worked for to let him travel to the Winona School in Chicago to take a week long course taught by Henry Oles and Bill Abey. A year later, he moved from Montana to Texas to work at EPS Photographic (now Virtual Backgrounds). Four years later, he returned to Montana to open his own portrait studio, which quickly became a successful studio business. Trevon photographs a wide variety of clients including the current and past governors of Montana, high school seniors and families.

Trevon's primary interest for the future, besides continuing with his photography, is in teaching and speaking. Trevon can be reached through www.trevonbaker.com.

Stanley Burgin

Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England.

Stanley Burgin is the true 'pioneer' of Scene Machine portraiture in Britain. Stanley quickly brought his highly creative flair, and mastery of lighting, to great effect in the exciting portraits he started to make with this new Scene Machine technology.

In fact, within just weeks of starting to use it, Stanley was winning Kodak Gold Awards for his projection portraits and then went on to be awarded an Associateship of the Master Photographers Association of Great Britain for his high quality Scene Machine portraits.

Now in the retirement of his life, Stanley still has a working Scene Machine studio at his Nottingamshire home and enjoys experimenting with new projected backgrounds techniques - as well as shooting portrait commissions as they arise.
